Doggy Day

13th September 2016
Our Doggy Day event took place on the 29th of July with around 100 people attending (not including dogs!)
This event was re-scheduled from the 6th of July due to very poor weather conditions. Fortunately, when the event did take place on the 29th, it was a fantastic sunny day!

There was loads of categories for people to enter their dogs into –
Most appealing puppy,
Best dog,
Best rescue dog,
Dog with best child handler,
Dog with the waggiest tail,
Best 6 legs,
Dog most like their owner,
and Leave the sausage

There were places for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for all of these categories. Well done to everyone who entered their dogs into this event and thank you to everyone for taking part. Congratulations to all of the winners too – who won their dog a rosette and a doggy prize of their choice!

Doggy day was a great success and a really fun day for everyone who came along. It’s a great chance for people to meet and feedback from this event has lead us to know people have met through their dogs and have since kept in touch to go on dog walks etc. together.

Overall this event is mainly for a chance for the local people to have some fun! To come along to an event that is free, meet some people and for their dogs to make some friends too! Doggy Day is always a great success with a lot of laughter on the day (from the dogs too!)
