Early evening summer strolls (weekly health walks)
Monday 3rd April 6.00pm – 8.00pm
This summer why not join our early evening health walks and discover the woodlands, waterfalls and wildlife of Castlemilk Park. It’s a great way to meet new people and take the first steps towards a healthier lifestyle. These walks are longer health walks, lasting approximately 2 hours at a gentle pace and normally cover about 4-6km.

Wednesday Walks (Health Walks)

All about Owls
Wednesday 5th April 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Owl Magic will bring along a selection of different owls. You will get a chance to see these birds close up and learn more about these beautiful creatures.

Sensitive lichens: Air quality survey (OPAL citizen science: environmental surveys)
Thursday 6th April 1.00pm – 3.00pm
Learn more about the special environment that is Castlemilk woodlands by taking part in research to help us find out more about it. Learn how to spot disease in trees, identify good habitats for pollinators, and find out if the air you breathe is clean and healthy. Anyone can be a scientist with the Open Air Laboratories, come along and give it a go. The Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) is an environmental organisation helping to get people out and about and learning about the natural world. We work with scientists who are looking for help collecting information about the health of the UK environment.

Castlemilk Park Photo walking club
Monday 10th April 1.30am - 3.30pm
Photo walking is the act of walking with a camera for the purpose of taking photos of things that you find interesting along the way. Each month we will have a short 20 minute indoor session looking at how to get the most of your photography before setting off on our photo walk in the woods of Castlemilk Park. Through the course of the year, some of the walks will be themed to capture the seasonal highlights of the woods.

Easter Bunny Hunt
Wednesday 12th April 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Join in the fun and games on this Easter bunny hunt through the woodlands of Castlemilk Park. With arts and crafts, games and duck races along the burn. Fun for all the family. Children should be accompanied by an adult.

Cup of Tea in the Park (Seasonal strolls)

A woodland walk with a warm cuppa in the woods! Why not join us on these seasonal strolls as we explore the seasons of Castlemilk Park and use bush craft to brew up under the trees. Dress for the weather.

The wonders of wild garlic
Saturday 29th April 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Discover the wild garlic and other edible flora within the woodlands of Castlemilk Park on this guided walk. Along the way tickle those taste buds as we sample a selection of wild garlic dishes.
